IRIS F-16D Comments?

Featured Replies

Yep, Dougie, i saw that. But i think this update address something else, not the afterburner issue. I installed that, but the issue continues. Visiting IRIS Forum, there is a highlight topic that says that a patch to the SP2 users is in development. Let

The Fresno guys do stay at March. They keep a 24hr Detachment squadron there, although their garrison is at KFAT.
Thanks for the info. Concerning the afterburner issue. I was too involved with the cockpit during my first couple of trials that I didn't even bother to look to see whether or not I was getting the re-heat. If you had the LAGO F-16 it put out smoke as well. But I am enjoying this jet. I get a kick out of the level of detail to the switches and knobs. Every time I flip that Oxygen Regulator supply on, I remember a situation we had when I went through JSUPT at Vance AFB years back. One of my buds wouldn't go back to O2 during our chamber. He became a physiological case. He was too high to make sense of what was going on, laughing and ignoring the signs of hypoxia and rules to put your mask back on as soon as you notice symptoms or changes in vision and what not. Then he started getting belligerent with the Chamber safety NCO. After a lot of yelling and arguing and animation of what appeared like trying to reach for ejection seat handles "hand grips - raise triggers - squeeze" according to the T-37B Dash-1, the NCOs were able to get things under control. So I'm glad to see that the switches have been animated in this aircraft. So the next time I am strapped into my computer chair and start getting light-headed...

Brilliant that you like it.About the testing. we do have Sp1/Sp2 users in the team but the F-16 was made using the Acceleration SDK. It would have create a lot of extra work to have to make fixes and then release. There are a lot of files which have to be dealt with. But in time, after the Christen eagle comes out then the next aircraft...which you'll be hearing about after the CE will be dealt with. It's time off for David soon, so work comes to a haitus, expcept support, which continues as per norm.So the patch might be a little be down the line but I'm sure it'll get there.Sorry if Sp1/2 users feel neglected. Well be sure to add more in-depth Sp1/2 testing onto our list of priorities in the future! Dougie

Ok Dougie,Thanks for the clarification in this subject. Just for the record, i

So if I am using Acceleration should I still be getting the no afterburner issue since I have an Nvidia card?
