can't load xxxx.flt

Featured Replies

When I try to load a saved situation, RC says that it can't load the xxxxx.flt plan for that situation. I'm sure it's there, in the same folder. The files are:EKYT - EKCH RC 03 at TESPI.FLTEKYT - EKCH RC 03 at TESPI.rcdWhat am I doing wrong ?

have you clicked the .flt/.wx button, and defined the path to where fs stores the .flt and .wx files? that tells rc where to put the .rcd files. there needs to be a .rcd, .flt, and .wx file with the exact same name, in the folder where fs loads and saves it's .flt/.wx filesjd

Are you set up with an actual flight condition? Unlike loading and starting a flight plan, where RC only needs FS(X) running, you must be IN FLIGHT (parked at an airport, lined up, in the air, in any plan, under any condition) when you load in a .rcd file. It will move you to exactly where you should be in the correct plane after that.By the way, I just starting using RC v4.3 after years of layoff, and have a few questions, some related to this thread. Why does RC create a blank RCD file (just .rcd - nothing in front of the decimal) as well as a "previous flight.rcd" and a "Program generated temporary flight.rcd". Are they of any use?

a rcd file is created any time a .flt and .wx file are saved. fs saves a .flt and .wx and calls it "previous flight", so if rc is running at the time, i make a .rcd file as well. not sure how a unnamed rcd file is created. is there an unnamed flt and wx file too?

Hi jdI'm sure that I have pressed the .flt/.wx button and I am parked at the gatehere are the files:EKCH - EKYT 02 ready to pb.FLTEKCH - EKYT 02 ready to pb.FMCEKCH - EKYT 02 ready to pb.FSSAVEEKCH - EKYT 02 ready to pb.rcdEKCH - EKYT 02 ready to pb.WXI'm running Windows 7 and I run rc as administrator..20090914%20rc_problem.jpg

You state you are running as an admin but did your start RC with a shortcut that has a run as admin property set? (Same for starting FS.)It seemed to save them OK so this is weird. On an outside chance I'd check the folder access permissions. I'd also check your security utilities to insure RC is a trusted program.

is flight simulator, running, not just at the fly now window, but running, at the gate, with the clock ticking on the panel?
