+1 I see no TCAS symbology on my HSI either.

I'm not sure if TCAS data is supposed to be displayed in the MAP mode or not, but if you're not seeing anything in FULL/ARC, make sure the TCAS is set to MAN in the RMU (press PGE to access the menu). The system defaults to AUTO, in which case, no traffic is displayed until you receive a TA, at which time all other proximate traffic will be displayed as well.Do you see traffic on the dedicated EHSI TCAS display?Nick

Im not seeing any TCAS data either though as Nick points out Im ot 100% sure if its suppose to appear when in map mode, logic says it should , but Im not 100% sure from the manual..

Of course it works fine when you hit the tcas button but it does seem an oddity it doesnt display with the map, which would be the primary display for most of the trip I would presume..

Danny, why use the map? I prefer the full/arc view, which presents the cross track error and heading/bearing information in a much clearer picture. On the airliners with ND displays it is a different issue, they offer a lot more information (navaids, airports, fixes, etc) but the JS41 map just presents a poor spatial representation of the flight plan route.

Gents,When in AUTO mode, TCAS doesn't display any targets until a TA intruder aircraft is detected. If you set TCAS to MANUAL (on the second page of the RMU), you'll be able to see up to 12 targets on the EHSI when in TCAS display mode. If you're in FULL/ARC or MAP mode, you'll get an alert icon on the top right of the EHSI display when a TA intruder aircraft is detected, and you can switch to the TCAS display mode to see where it is.As Dan says, the FULL/ARC mode provides a clearer navigation picture. My personal practice is to use the TCAS display mode during the departure and arrival phases of the flight, and FULL/ARC during cruise unless I'm in extremely busy airspace...in which case, I stay in TCAS mode.
