J41 sound levels

Featured Replies

Having a great time learning to fly this bird. Funny that one of my biggest issues is that the cockpit is so bloody noisy I can't hear theradio :) I've had it at a level where everything else I've flown wasfine but its nigh impossible to hear anything in this case.Funny, but even when I turn the engine noise WAY down, and havethe voice setting at maximum, it seems that the level in the J41 ismuch lower than anything else.Is there a fix for this?? Thanks PMDG for a great new toy :)

I have noticed this as well... I tried mousing over the mic panel to try and find a volume knob that worked, but none of them turn. This leads me to another question that really isn't a big deal but I will ask anyway... The recieve knobs on the mic panel for com 1 and com 2 don't do anything. This limits us to only being able to recieve on the radio which we have selected to transmit on. It would be nice to be able to listen on 2 frequencies while transmitting on one. This feature is in almost every stock FSX aircraft, what happened here?JB

I turned down the engines in FSX sounds menu. That seemed to work. But, I frankly keep those pretty low normally because the low droaning of engines (Jet or prop) tends to attract my little one, who then proceeds to play with the yoke.
