That's the ATC sound item in the FS sound mixer, not your Windows mixer. If you only wish to use RC ATC and disable FS ATC try after backing up in your modules folder FSUIPC.ini edit it adding in the General section the line RemoveATC=yes.Here are descriptions each for FSX and FS9:http://www.jdtllc.com/FAQ.htm#17

Related to this, a simple question.Is possible to hear ATC and AI planes from takeoff to ILS stablished phases?I mean, once airborne, I only hear AI planes switching frequencies and traffic advises. No info about when AI planes are descending to destination, or cleared to intercept ILS. I can hear when they are cleared FP, for taxi, for takeoff, and contact to DEP. Finally, once arriving their destination, contact to APP, and ATC gives then runway in use. Then, I think, speccially after TOD, there is a lack of communications. I have "AI Chatter" and "Interact with AI" options checked.Thank yoy very much.

you only hear chatter that is appropriate to the the altitude/stratum you're at and they're at, and the frequency that you're on. if you're on ground frequency, you're not going to hear ai cleared for takeoff or for landing. that is on tower frequency.jd
