JS41 FMC help

Featured Replies

Is there a tutorial for the FMC or where in the instructions can I find how to operate FMC. Not familiar with this only used the Garmin default in FSX. Is it true that you can't use the FSX flight planner to import flight plan into the FMC? Thanks for help.

There are very basic instructions in the manual. The MSFS flight planner uses the default scenery for navdata, which is why it cannot provide flightplan data for the addon aircraft. It might seem like a steep learning curve, but the FMS in the JS41 is very basic and I believe if you learned how to use the knock-off Garmin in MSFS you will have this one down quickly. Hit the forum with as many questions as you want but be sure to look for answers in the manual first.

Remember to sign your name. :(I find the J41 FMS easier to operate than any of Boeings or MDs (PMDG of course). I would suggest running through the tutorial flight and while in cruise, view all the different available pages in the FMS. It provides a wealth of information regarding you fuel, time to next waypoint, time to destination, wind, x-track, etc.It only took me 2-3 flights to get fully comfortable with the FMS. As well, I open up the tutorial manual everytime I set up a flight on my own just to know, step by step, how to program the FMS.
