September 30, 200916 yr MD-11 takeoff northbound from Seattle with Building Storms gives me mid-20s occasionally dipping into high teens. e8400 gave me Low 20s often dipping into mid teens. Overall smoothness is much better, but I honestly thought raw frames would be a bit better.I tried setting AF/AA to off and really there wasn't much improvement over frames...maybe +5 total. I'm not sure how much stuff gets pumped through my older graphics board, but I really wonder if that's what is limiting me. Any one have any thoughts?Overall much better, but I'm still not totally satisfied :)Your video card is definitely holding you back at the moment. Get a GTX280 or GTX285 and you will see a definite improvement. Your 8800GT can only process 57.6GB/Sec. The GTX280 can push 141.7GB/Sec and the GTX285 can push 159GB/sec.
