October 13, 200916 yr Author Hi Staggerwing, certainly need some help here. I have looked at the photos I am trying to Post, and they are all around the 600KB mark. I can try taking them again on a lower setting on my Camera, but not sure if I can get down to the 200KB level. I did manage to UPLOAD them, and at first by pressing the 'insert into text icon' I got what you can see in my Post, just a series of 'Attachment' notices.I then tried UPLOADING, did a small caption in the Text window, and pressed 'add reply'. I thought this had placed the pictures in the Post, but obviously I was wrong. So, in short can you give me a little more help here as to exactly what to do when I hopefully have each picture down to 200KB?Many thanks
October 13, 200916 yr I'm sorry, but somebody needs to say what we are all thinking: Should you really be offering advice and guidance to simmers when you post in the wrong forum and can't even attach a correctly-sized picture to a post? :( Only joking. :(Keep logging in looking for the pictures as I simply can't comprehend what you are suggesting from words alone, but for gawds sake get ON with it, the suspense is killing us! :(

October 14, 200916 yr Author Happy to help you out sent them via email to me and I will bring down the file size so you can post...Hi AWF, I have had another look at my Camera, and can only get down to about 375 KB, so if you can reduce somehow in size that would be good. How do I get your e-mail address? Can you send to me at '[email protected]' if you didn't want to Post it?Sorry to those who are awaiting some pictures; just as soon as possible I will achieve this!

October 15, 200916 yr IF I've ever posted pictures here it's been quite a while but, I have several applications that can resize the typical Multimegabyte jpg files created by most digital cameras. One application that is quite easy to use is IrfanView available at http://www.irfanview.net/ . It has a command to Resize/Resample on the Image menu that can be set by percentage or destination size (in pixels, cm or inches). It can even be configured to run from a CD, flash drive or external hard drive (as long as you log-in account permissions allows you to run executable files there) without going through the usual process of installing an application on the computer's internal hard drive. Installations on those removable drives can be accompanied by a set of image files and an easy to create file list, a combination that makes it easy to control the display sequence in the included slide show.

My picures have been resized by AWF, and he has offered to Post for me, so in a very short time they should be appearing here!
