September 28, 200916 yr Commercial Member I've just found and fixed an odd long-standing bug in FSUIPC4 which may have been affecting some Radar Contact interactions with AI traffic, especially on the ground. The updating of ground aircraft details, especially flight numbers, might not have been as prompt as it should have been due to this bug. The fix is available in the latest interim update, 4.538, available from my Support Forum. Please note that if you are not already using 4.53 or later you should first install that main version, from the usual Schiratti "Dowson" page, before applying the interim update version.RegardsPete Dowson Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. September 28, 200916 yr Peter, it's been a little while since I updated FSUIPC and things seem to be working satisfactorily for me. If I install this newest update, will my various settings have to be re-written or will they transfer into the newest update? September 28, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Peter, it's been a little while since I updated FSUIPC and things seem to be working satisfactorily for me.Maybe so, but versions of FSUIPC before 4.53 and 3.93 aren't supported at all. You are on your own if you don't keep up to date.If I install this newest update, will my various settings have to be re-written or will they transfer into the newest update?Your settings are always retained, unless you start deleting files containing them. FSUIPC updates only change the DLL and, of course, documentation.RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. September 28, 200916 yr Thanks Peter. I'm using 4.53 right now but will probably update anyway. Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
September 28, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks Peter. I'm using 4.53 right now but will probably update anyway.4.53 is the current main user version -- I thought you said "it's been a little while since I updated FSUIPC"!? When you say "a little while" you really mean "little"! <G>.The changes since 4.53 include several minor bug fixes, plus a major new facility, that to synchronise multiple throttle, prop pitch and/or mixture controls. All you need to do is download the relatively small ZIP and unpack the DLL into the FSX modules folder.Or wait for 4.54 which will replace 4.53 before Christmas, for sure.RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. September 28, 200916 yr I already checked out the nice sync prop etc feature. Nice:-) Yes, I guess I had updated more recently than I thought. Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
September 28, 200916 yr If you don't have 4.53 get that first from here:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlHere's the update link for 4.538:http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/FSUIPC4538.zipAs Pete stated there are important AI recognition fixes in this interim release and in FSX they probably affect RC4's recognition of AI status and control.Interim releases of all FSUIPC and WideFS products are here:http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?...7c6adeeba8271c6and the full support forum is here:http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54
September 29, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Here's the update link for 4.538Thanks for helping, Ronzie, but giving direct links is a little dodgy -- that might not be valid tomorrow if I upload 4.539 ...Of course links to the Support Forum are plastered all over my documents, on the FSUIPC options screen in FS, on the main download page and probably in other places, but I suppose some folks must still have trouble finding it! ;-)Best RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz.
