October 4, 200916 yr I've been trying to fly tutorial with different livery and it seem impossible to do so. Let me explain. I start default flight with cessna, then I load JS41 tutorial. Everything OK so far. Then I try to change to different livery and here's where the problem start. It's either CTD or I hear constant engine sound but the engines are not running. Then I press battery, GPU, avionics, and finally fuel pump swithes. At this point both engines start immediately. Why does it happen?Greg Furmanski
October 5, 200916 yr This happened to me the first time I loaded the aircraft after installing Win 7 Pro to activate it again. Have not seen it happen again though.FRED
October 5, 200916 yr Author I forgot to say that following tutorial from PMDG livery is all right, everything works like it should, only changing to different livery creates this problem.Greg Furmanski
October 5, 200916 yr Greg,The easiest way is to edit the tutorial file located in your "Flight Simulator X Files" folder (for example the "PMDG BAe JS4100 Tutorial 1 at KHPN.FLT" file) and change around the middle of the file the line:[sim.0]//Sim=PMDG Jetstream 41 House LiverySim=PMDG J41 Rexwhere the 3rd line is the name of the livery you want to use (REX Airlines in the case above).Use Notepad to open the FLT file and, of course, make first a backup of the "PMDG BAe JS4100 Tutorial 1 at KHPN.FLT" file.Hope this helps.BestEdmundo Edmundo Azevedo
October 5, 200916 yr Greg,Try pressing both engine shut off switches and waiting until the airplane is quiet before switching on the batteries and ground power. October 5, 200916 yr Author Changing the entry in saved flight works fine. Canging livery and pressing Stop engine works fine as well. But still experiencing CTD when changing livery (not always though).Greg Furmanski
