October 15, 200916 yr I'm currently a member of two airlines that offer scheduled and charter flights. British Airways Virtual is limited in terms of routes but not a/c. Thomson Virtual isn't limited in terms of routes but is restrictive on a/c used. Some times. I'd like to fly some diverse routes in some more diverse aircraft. It would be nice if it was a Cargo VA (as that's something different). So what I'm really looking for is a VA that offers me the ability to effectively chose my own route e.g. If I wanted to fly a B742 from Frankfurt to Kai Tak, I could simply chose that route and fly it - or if I wanted to fly a B707 from Miami to South America. It's this diversity of routes (and a/c) that makes em think a Cargo VA is the way to go! Also I enjoy the challenge of flying, navigating & managing a Long Haul flight, but the few times I do have the time to commit to a Long Haul flight in one session I would likely fly for one of my existing VAs (probably Thomson). So I would like the ability to start a flight one evening and then resume it later.Any suggestions?
October 15, 200916 yr Check out Mountain Air. We have scheduled flights, but it is also permissible to create your own routes with your own planes and log them as "Charter." We have a European hub. Mountain Air Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
October 15, 200916 yr I invite you to look at PanAm-VA. We have scheduled flights, but we are not restrict what A/C you use, along as it is one of ours. We are also getting ready to launch a new Charter and Cargo division with new fleet repaints. They can be seen on the front page of our website. October 15, 200916 yr Author Thanks guys.I looked at Pan Am VA and Mountain Air.Mountain looks interesting but I'm into flying heavy metal so I'm not sure I'd fit in.Pan-Am look has a decent fleet (especially the 707 and 747-200), but it doesn't offer the freedom of route selection that I'm after.
October 16, 200916 yr Try http://www.CanadianXpress.caWe have a free flying policy which means you can fly when you want, where you want and we have a good sized fleet.Regards, VATSIM: P2 | I1

October 31, 200916 yr You can have a look at Alaska / Horizon Virtual. We are not a long haul VA. The longest route we offer is about 4 hours. We have the following aircraft:MD-82MD-83737-400737-700737-800737-900ERDash-8-Q400CRJ-700We fly to 53 airports across the USA, Mexico and Canada.Thank YouJ. Hemmings - CEOAlaska / Horizon Virtual
December 23, 200916 yr What about Jetstream Virtual Airline? Its my airline, and I dont have it for a long time now but we're growing. The current hubs are:-Innsbruck LOWI-Asheville KAVL2 small airports with both a challenging approach. We would like to expend to-Colombia George Regional/The Dalles KDLS-Lihue PHLI-Hong Kong Kai Tak VHHXOur airline is 45 years back in time so we fly only classic planes, which makes it challenging to navigate sometimesFor instance try our route over the atlantic with a Boeing 377 StratocruiserOur airline uses VAFSThe reason I say "Our" and "We" is because the pilots can suggest things and decide with us so its kind of a democratic airlineWe got 12 aircraft at the moment and expandingWould you like to join us?See you soon (hopefully),Martijn
