  1. This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but does anyone know if there's a Keyboard short cut (either for the RFP 747 or Fs9 in general to disengage the auto throttle) for the life of me I cant find one. I want to assign one of the buttons on my Yoke to disengage it shortly before Touchdown. I've not flown the 747-200 for a long time, but I've recently brought it out of retirement (ie. re-installed it), I;m sure I had it working before
  2. Thanks guys.I looked at Pan Am VA and Mountain Air.Mountain looks interesting but I'm into flying heavy metal so I'm not sure I'd fit in.Pan-Am look has a decent fleet (especially the 707 and 747-200), but it doesn't offer the freedom of route selection that I'm after.
  3. I'm currently a member of two airlines that offer scheduled and charter flights. British Airways Virtual is limited in terms of routes but not a/c. Thomson Virtual isn't limited in terms of routes but is restrictive on a/c used. Some times. I'd like to fly some diverse routes in some more diverse aircraft. It would be nice if it was a Cargo VA (as that's something different). So what I'm really looking for is a VA that offers me the ability to effectively chose my own route e.g. If I wanted to fly a B742 from Frankfurt to Kai Tak, I could simply chose that route and fly it - or if I wanted to fly a B707 from Miami to South America. It's this diversity of routes (and a/c) that makes em think a Cargo VA is the way to go! Also I enjoy the challenge of flying, navigating & managing a Long Haul flight, but the few times I do have the time to commit to a Long Haul flight in one session I would likely fly for one of my existing VAs (probably Thomson). So I would like the ability to start a flight one evening and then resume it later.Any suggestions?
  4. Out of interest has there been any update on this - as I've come up against the same problem?
  5. I've recently changed upgraded to the 737 800/900.When sitting in the VC in the 800 (VC only) the viewpoint seems at about the right height. However when I switch to the 733-900 (VC & Cabin). The viewpoint seems far too low.How can I change the deafult VC viewpoint/eyepoint for this model? I've had a look on the 737-900 aircraft.cfg file and I've found the entry "eyepoint" but I'm not sure wether this is for the VC & Cabin model or just the VC model?
  6. That's the answer - thanks very much.
  7. After owning the 600/700 version for sometime I today purchased the 800/900 upgrade. My question is - when I install the 800/900 version should the VC improve in the 600/700 version. E.g. should the overhead switches become selectable or not?
  8. I've recently got AES for EGLL.I want to intergate this as much as possible with my exisiting FS2Crew (PMDG 747 Ver).IIRC on the 737 version there is an option not to pushback (i.e. none gate start). Is it possible to run all the pushing back checklist but just not actually pushback via Fs2Crew?
  9. I've recently started suffering a higher number of CTD's.And I've believe it's one of two changes I've made.a)New Graphics Card (and I'm no running at a higher resolution - so could this be causing memory errors?):( Different plane. But to start off trying to find out what the problem is - What is the latest version of RC?My System Fs9.1, RCV 4.3.3843, Currently Flying Wilco CRJ 700.
  10. QUOTE - The section is courtesy of FFX/SGA other than I figured out to use a 4 for my 5.1 speaker setup.SOUND=1SOUND_FADER1=0.500000SOUND_FADER2=0.460000SOUND_FADER3=0.620000SOUND_FADER4=0.800000SOUND_FADER5=0.810000SOUND_FADER6=1.000000SOUND_QUALITY=2Channels=4 --> use a 2 here if you only have 2 speakers, I have a 5.1 speaker setup.SamplesPerSec=44100BitsPerSample=16 - QUOTEI understood that FS9 couldn't cope with a 5.1 surround sound system. Would this change - mean I get sound from my rear speakers?
  11. A qucik and probably simple question.I've used fs2crew for a while now woth both the FS9 737 and the pmdg version.I fancy getting the PMDG 747 version - as these flights are a little longer - can you save flights or at least resume mid-cruise?
  12. Cheers,One more question will ASV6 change textures mid-flight or do you have to restart MSFS?
  13. I think I may havie discovered what I've done. While I was experimenting with ASG I appear to have changed the texture of the sky. I've now changed teh sky colour to "Prime". This seems to have made the skies blue again (see attached). Now this brings me onto the next point. It seems I have mis-understood what ASG does. I thought it merely allowed you to slect specfic sky themese or weather for ASV6 when NOT using online updates. I believed that when using online updates, ASV6 would slect the sky texture, cloud type etc.. to most accurately depict the RW weather.Where have I gone wrong with my understanding? How does ASG work/what is it for? What options are best for realistic weather within ASG/ASV (I've read the post on ASV6 "Options" furtyher up this board) Or ist it my own personal opinion?Cheers
  14. Recently I tried various themese within Active Sky Graphics before returning to using the online updating feature of ASV6. As I normally fly on VASTIM I tend to just use ASV6.Before I experimenetd with ASG my sky was a decent shade of blue, now it is more of a mucky grey/blue. At first IO thought this was just the lcoacl wather (of whereever I was flying) however I now suspect that I've messed something up and ASV6 isn't updating the graphics.Attached are two pics I took before the problem started - 2 pics after and my .ini fileCheers
  15. I've also noticed another problem that is most likely linked/related to the 1st. (Using Online weather). (Radar Contact) ATIS is reporting winds as 090 @ 8kts - where as the Active Radar (which I based my descent planning on) gave winds at my arrival aiport as 215 @ 8 kts.I've just down a "Fetch" from the main screen and this gives the weather at LGAV (my destination) as 030 @ 8 kts. All seem to agree on the speed - but all sources disagree on the direction.I have done a "Refresh AI".
  16. I've only just purchased AS6 so this might be rookie mistake but basically what I see out of the cockpit windows doesn't agree with what the METAR/Wx informations is telling me.E.g. If I select clear skies (online updates disabled) "Wx Configurator/Clear Skies/Apply to ALL locations" Then select "Apply Now" and the "Update and Close" and the "Refresh" from the main screen. All the Wx/METAR information tells me the skies should be clear blue - but I can see clouds aplenty, some quite thick. How could I solve this problem?
  17. Just doing a bit of research.I've currently got 1 20" LCD monitor for running MSFS. I'd like to add in an extra monitor or two. E.g. for docking windows to (FMC etc..). I'm thinking of getting a TripleHead2Go unit. However I don't have any spare flatscreen lying around ;-). However a do have a couple of 17" CRT monitors spare. Has anyone used the TH2GO in this setup (where the left and right screens are a different size/style from the centre monitor?)
  18. I've been having the same problem - I'm guessing that it's something to do with teh Servers that provide the FS Weather Data.I came on here too see if it was just me.
  19. Thanks ROn, that was what I was wanting to know.
  20. I'm considering buying RC4 as I've been impressed by the reviews I've read. But I've a few questions I'd like to ask first. When I fly I like to feel that the SKy is alive and I use Traffic 2005 to provide realistic Airlines/Flight-Plansand Gate/Ramps. From this forum and the website I see that RC is compatible with Traffic2005.However, - Will the AI traffic still appear as in the AFCAD/Flight Plan files, e.g. Mainly BA at Heathrow, Air Malta at Luga etc...?Will RC interact (or at least ppear to interact with AI Traffic - as long as I can hear ATC talking to AI planes, I'm happy).
