October 20, 200916 yr Hi guys!Everything was running smoothly on my fresh FSX install with Windows 7. I have MD11 and J41. Haven't been using the MD11 for a few weeks now after i got my hands on J41.Today I tried to load a flight with MD11 and during the aircraft load in Free Flight window the FSX crashes. I tried reinstall MD-11 but got the same issue. Windows message is :Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61637.0 Application Timestamp: 46fadb14 Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5bdb3b Exception Code: c015000f Exception Offset: 000845bb OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033Recently I have installed J41 SP1 and Captain Sim 767 v1.3Anyone having idea what might be the problem? Thanks,Martin Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
October 20, 200916 yr The faulted moduel ntdll.dll is the system kernal. If FSX otherwise works okay, try to run a repair option using the md11 installer. I am only guessing but maybe the visual studio run time libraries are part of the problem. If you are running a 64b OS both the 32 and 64b runtimes are required. Dan Downs KCRP
October 20, 200916 yr Author I've done the repair via the installer. No joy.I've reinstalled the whole MD-11 package. No joy.I wonder what has spoiled the MD-11...? Same time J41 runs sweet. I'm out of ideas. Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
October 20, 200916 yr Out of ideas, yeah. Seems strange that the ntdll is involved. I suggest an email to pmdg support, be sure to get an automatic response (no response means you were blocked). Please post back here the solution, hopefully soon. Dan Downs KCRP
October 22, 200916 yr Author Come on PMDG Team.... Give me ideas to fight the issue :( . When installing the J41 update I noticed that there was a Visual C ++ update or something. Do you think that might affect MD-11 loading? I haven't changed anything since last time using MD-11 and the J41 update was the only one since (I mentioned CS767 v1.3 but I don't think it has anything to do with that). October 23, 200916 yr Author I got direct help from Paul /PMDG TeamIt saved the day and the MD-11Uninstall MD-11 / delete PMDG folders / Delete fsx.cfg and DLL file / restart FSX to create new ones / install MD-11 - this sequence does the job. I don't know why FSX.cfg and the DLL file were involved but that was what I was missing and it helped! Thanks for the support from PMDG :( Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
