October 26, 200916 yr Hi allI have been reading all of the threads concerning the new i7, Windows 7 computers. I noticed a common thread running through almost all of the posts that I read and that was that almost all of the people using these new very fast computers were also using the high end Nvidia cards instead of the high end ATI cards. My present computer is using a pretty good ATI HD 3870 card because my computer builder said that it was the most compatible with my Mac 32 inch monitor. The plan for my new computer is to use and ATI HD 5850 card, but seeing that so many people are using the end NVIDIA card makes me a bit nervous. Are my fears justified or do most of you think that I will be fine using the ATI card.I am planning to use and I7 processor 950 variety, overclocked, 12 gigs of memory, the ATI HD 5850 and other accoutrements deemed correct and suitable by my computer store. What advice do you wizards of the ether have on the subject.I await any and all sage advice. Cheers to all and thanks for any help on the subject!Dorn
