looking at buying two gtx 275 for performance instead of one 295. Opinions are always welcome. Thanks,Chris

Chris, your full name should be used in this forum.Because MSFS doesn't delegate video processing to the GPU, there is no improvement and the chance of degradation with dual GPUs when using MSFS. However, if you do other gaming then the advantages with those will probably outweigh the slight offset in FS.

Get a single GTX285 or Radeon 5870. (I'd personally go for the 5870, it's a much better card (next gen vs. the 285, Nvidia hasn't release their new cards yet) - if you play any games other than FS, the 5870 will blow the 285 away.

is this compatible with a ASUS quad core P5NE SLI q6600. I'm not a Radeon type of person. Is this the best for FPS in FSX add-ons/PMDG.Thanks againChris Fridaydevoted PMDG pilot

Your FPS are decided more by what your FS settings are and what your CPU can do than by the graphics card. You can have the best graphics card on the planet but if your CPU is naff and your FS settings are ludicrous then it will still crawl.

so whats a very good compliment between a GPU and graphics card. I would like to keep my processor, however I would also like to get better than 14-15 fps on the J4100Chris Friday

CPU is the main driver of framerates in FSX, there is no way around that. The single biggest thing you could do to improve framerates is get a Core i7 or i5 CPU, motherboard, and RAM. The Q6600 is an old CPU now (I'm going to upgrade mine real soon too), and we're at the limit of what it can do for stuff like the J41.I would not dismiss the Radeon card so easily, the 5870 has stellar reviews right now. I have a 4870 and I've been generally very happy with it.
