October 28, 200916 yr Hi, I did a quick check of this forum and did not see anything about it. I can't imagine anyone not asking but I'll try.. Will V5 have ATC accents corresponding to the controller airspace you are in? So if I am under Roma control then I would expect to hear Italian accents. I have to tell you, although I am excited about any improvement you have made in V5, this would be the one area I would be glad to pay for if nothing else changed. I think V4.3 is excellent save for the voices and accents. I understand there may be some thrid party voiceovers made but nothing says "wow I just crossed the pond and I'm in another country" like hearing the controller accents change. I know Proflight 2000 used to do this but the rest of their product is horrible with respect to RC. I hear different accents in RC4.3, but I think they are random per airliner and airspace. They don't recognize either and I will get Russian accents from controllers in Phoenix, AZ. Better voices and different accents that actually correspond to the airspace you are flying over....is this a possibility? I'm sure you can round up some volunteers in the flight sim world. Thx for a great product!

Thx for a great product!if there had been enough volunteers pre v4, to regionalize the voices, we could have done it. the code was/is already there. but the 3-4 hours of recording time was a little too much, and we had a lot smaller install base of v3 users. the number of v4 users is much, much larger, and hopefully there will be more volunteers from all the different regions of the world, this time around.and the volunteers are entitled to a free copy of v5, prior to the v5 release, so there is a littel something in it for them.i'll announce here the call for volunteers, when we are 99.5% certain that we have all the words and phrases accounted for.jd JD Read my blog

So in the event you do get those volunteers it is technically possible to ensure that the right accent goes with the right controllers? And this is something you can easily implement into V5?I can mimic French, Italian and Spanish accents so keep the channels open.
November 1, 200916 yr Indeed that is something that would make ATC extremely realistic!! Brings back memories of the "Captain Speaking" in the bygone days of FS2002 - unfortunately that program had other limitations, but the local accents as well as the very realistic commands (pre RC4 days) made for truly incredible flying...I'll look out for the volunteer requests and would be happy to contribute.. :(

What is the time frame that you plan to announce this, still this year? Next? Jacek G.
