October 29, 200916 yr Since I'm a real lover of VFR GA flying, I'm always looking for aircraft that fit my style. I love the A2A Piper Cub and fly it often. However, in my search for a little more power and style, I have finally pulled the trigger on the fsaddon Super Cub X. Let me say that I am very pleasantly surprised. I flew 3 variations last night (with 3 different panel variations) and was totally impressed with the VC view (there is no 2D panel), the performance, and the overall fun of flying this Cub variation. It's also GREAT to have a Vertical Speed Indicator Gauge! Being able to exceed 80 knots is a plus too when VFR flying...I was cruising easily at over 100 knots.Exploring the Tongass Fjords in the Super Cub is phenomenal. Great sound, wonderful wing views, and lots of aircraft choices in Tundra, Amphibian, or Floats. It's well worth the money in my opinion. If you have this plane, I'd love to hear your opinion too.Stan

I have been VERY tempted to get the Super Cub X package. It looks great! Tongass Fjords X seems to be all about VFR and low and slow sight seeing. I am bown away by this product. Months of hill hoping await looking for remote cabins and the like. Little details to look around at and compare to real world locations. The Super Cub is interresting to me and I am glad you meantion it. The speed of a Cessna 172 but "out the window" visability of the basic Cub. The only one I keep looking at instead as the only contender seems to be perhaps the Beaver X kit. Wheeled, skis and floats version of the classic Beaver which is super common up there.I'm torn.Charles.
December 15, 200916 yr If you're a cub fan, there is another super cub coming as well very soon.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=27710Can never have enough cubs! Best, Michael KDFW

It will do anything you need to do in Tongass. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.

December 16, 200916 yr My Review of the A2A J3 Cub should be out soon. Please look out for it, as I have some good Super Cub info in there as well. The Cubs and the BeaverX are the trifecta of bush flight in FSX right now... absolute VFR goodness. Jeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
