Order of installing addons - suggestions?

Featured Replies

So FSX has gotten unstable again and so I decided to reinstall the thing. Tomorrow I will do that, but I thought I'd start asking around what the best order of addon installation is. I have prepared a short list of addons that will make it in there whatever happens:Tools:MyTrafficReal Environment Extreme3D Lights ReduxAESAircraft:PMDG 747-400PMDG BAe Jetstream 41Maddog 2008Level-D 767-300Virtualcol F50 (?)Captain Sim aircraft (?)Feelthere ERJ 145v2 (?)Wilco 737 (very last one to be installed!)Scenery:All Aerosoft sceneriesUK2000 sceneriesGran Canaria SceneryDreeDesign SMJP SceneryBen Gurion 2006And so I was wondering. If you had to reinstall these addons, what would your order of installing be? Note that some of these have a "?", it means I'm not too sure about those, although I would really like to have them. Problem is, I really want to only have planes installed I know I will fly. I don't want to keep installing stuff and then never use it. For the rest, the Wilco 737 will be the last one to be installed, that's for sure (that's because of problems you might otherwise have when installing the PMDG 747 afterwards).

Hi Benjamin,I don't believe there is a special order (that was different with FS9) except for the LD767 which I would install first to avoid dll.xml issues. You can safely install all your addons as you want without bothering with order.:--)

That's good, thanks! I'll start with the LDS767, then the PMDG stuff, and as the very last any Wilco/feelthere stuff.

My REX always delete all xml entries, so I start from there.
