November 24, 200916 yr I know this is a subject that appears on these forums regularly and prior to posting, I have trawled the forums looking for an answer, but with no real luck. I am using Zhyhulskiy Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. Still sticking and rocking with FS9. November 24, 200916 yr The most common problem such as yours happens when you don't have a parking spot large enough for the aircraft in question.Go into AFCAD and simply enlarge the radius of the ramp...or several if you like and then see what happens.Another question I have is...the aircraft you are using, TU-195, is it AI specific or a flyable model. The reason I ask is alot of flyable models just do strange things when they are added as AI aircraft. You can find alot of AI specific soviet aircraft models at Avsim.ru

November 25, 200916 yr The easiest way to detrmine what the correct parking radius for any aircraft is to use the Aircraft Editor (Under the Tools menu) utility in the AFCAD program.Clicking on it will bring up a listing of all the aircraft you have installed. Scroll down until you find the one in question. That will bring up a screen with a great deal of info - including the radius required.I would make change several of your parking spaces to that radius and/or add a few more spaces to assure you have sufficient parking of the correct size. This is a screenshot of the Aircraft Editor screen I was speaking of:
November 25, 200916 yr Author Thank you everyone for such quick and informative replies. I really think I need to get under the carpet of AFCAD's, so I will be tackling the manual at some stage. Yes the TU95's are usable as AI aircraft. As mentioned above, I had three of them performing curcuits and they were a sight to behold. One question I have from your replies is. Do I need to increase the radius of the aircraft and the parking spots to make the aircraft appear at the airport ? Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. November 25, 200916 yr You do not increase the radius of the aircraft - that is built into the model and it cannot be changed. You may have to increase the radius of the parking spot(s) to match what the aircraft needs.
November 25, 200916 yr Author Okay many thanks. Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. November 30, 200916 yr Hi,BTW, the aircraft radius can be changed in AFCAD; just change the number in the box. But David is right, you normally only change the parking spot radius to fit.Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
