AI to fly the "river visual" KDCA

Featured Replies

Is there a way I can get the AI traffic to fly the River Visual Rwy 19 at KDCA? Currently they all a straight in approach to this runway. Something maybe I can edit in AFCAD? The approach requires inbound traffic to follow the potomac river weaving along to the runway with a sharp turn just before touchdown. If possible I'd like to get them to fly over specific points along the approach as well. I'm willing to spend some time on making this work if it's feasible. Maybe someone can point me in a direction towards a tutorial or details in how this is accomplished. I know that FlyTampa did something similar with VHHX, I just don't know if that was in the coding or what. Thanks for your help.Robert

I've been using this file for a while now. Not sure about the name of the approach, but it's probably what you mean.:(

Hey, great! Yeah, the LDA 19 is a separate approach from the river visual, but it will take you straight in with a turn at the bottom, whereas the river visual brings you in weaving along the river with visual points over the bridges. But this will do just fine...are you using Cloud9 DCA by chance? Robert
