December 11, 200916 yr Nice review on the Thrustmaster MFD review but I did not see in your review if you tried to program the MFD via FSUIPC? I am wondering if the buttons can be configured this way? Also curious what the dimensions of the cardboard inserts (inside dimesions of the MFD) are because if the MFD's are programable via FSUIPC and you could find a digital picture frame or mini-monitor that you could undock a view and drag to it I would be much more interested in it. RobertRobert,The manufacturer doesn't say anything - that's at least the only answer I got - about programming via FSUIPC or in any other way and that's my point. When they suggest and write down in the manual that it's possible, then they should offer the tools or description how to do it.Regarding the size of the card; just follow the link in the review that brings you to the downloadable Acrobat file with FS2004 card examples. These are real size and offer you the real dimensions.

RobertI've had these for a while now - and absolutely they can be used with FSUIPC. I haven't even bothered with the profiles. They appear as 28-button "joystics" within FSX (and fsuipc) or any other modern sim, and you can assign any available function to any joystick from the sim. I really don't see any need for users to create their own profiles, just go to the sim and set it up within. Of course, for more complex aircraft, FSUIPC will be necessary. I have it working with the PMDG JS41 very nicely.I'm really happy with them and think they're excellent, but I would mention the following.Looking in some forums, and from my own experience, I think there may be production quality issues. I have had to return two units already. The ones I have now have been ok for a few weeks now (fingers crossed they remain that way). The utility to create your own printed fill in sheets is online only and very very basic. I found that on the supplied cards the text is very small and hard to read even from an arm's length away. I really would have liked a locally installed application, or at least a much larger selection of templates to customise.Having said all that, I think the units are fantastic, and think they are absolutely worth the money.
