December 20, 200916 yr I had a shock this morning when I opened FSX and found that both the Addon Scenery and Root Texture Folders were missing :( I have managed to reinstall the Addon Scenery Files without any problem but without the Texture folder I am in trouble and as I can`t find any "repair" facility on the 2 DVD`s I`m rather stuck.I had hoped that I would not have to totally reinstall FSX but without any help or advice, that may be the road I haveto go down.Any help or advice would be very welcomeThanksGeorge

December 20, 200916 yr Are you running an antivirus program? If so update it and run a system scan. The 'repair' option when re-installing FSX should work. However after successfully re-installing you might have to re-install some or all off your add-ons (depends).
December 20, 200916 yr Commercial Member Usually a complete reinstall is the best thing to do. Win 7 64 is a good way to go but install FSX to c:\fsx for best performance. Get a fast SSD and it installs pretty quick.jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
