Parking Brake not recognied with Red Banner

Featured Replies

Dear Bryan,Wonder if this is a FS2crew thing? Not sure? but let you know if you have experienced this!PMDG MD11F, when parking is on at beginning of pre flight, the RED banner on bottom left hand of the screen which indicates parking breaks set does NOT appear. (only when using MD11F). I use FS2crew and the procedures for preflight indicate certain times parking brakes should not be on. Now the panel shows brakes are on, but the RED banner does not appear, and GCP(this is the FSCars system I use for my virtual airline) does not recognize it is on thus, I cannot load my flight. Then after push back and about to start my engines, the RED banner now appears and thus I can load GCP!Only happens for PMDGMD11, all other aircraft no problem.Any thoughts!

Off hand, I don't recall noticing that one. I might also ask the PMDG forum. Perhaps someone there might be able to commend on why that status bar is not visible with the -F model.Best,

The PMDG MD11(F) simulates - of course :( - the pressurization of the parking brake system. If engines are off, you need to check the brake pressure gauge, which is just above the throttles. If it does not show enough pressure, you need to activate the auxiliary pressure pump. There is a button just beside the gauge, but you can do the same on the overhead panel. For more details, check the Brake Controls section of your MD11 Aircraft Systems manual.Hope that helps - Norman
