December 21, 200916 yr Please PMDG experts, excuse me if this has been already discussed in the forum or is old stuff, I've been running FS9 with PMDG 737 and 747 for several years without having problems.I've noticed that my FS9 version is 9.0, and I've read that a 9.1 update exists.Anybody knows which are the benefits (if any) of updating to 9.1, and (the more important) the possible negative effects on PMDG aircraft. Thanks very much for your help. signed: José Luis
December 21, 200916 yr Author Well, I've been searching in the FS9 Forum and in PMDG website, and found that PMDG 737 an 747 can ONLY run under FS9-v 9.1.Last month I bought and installed LPPR by TropicalSim, and I can see now in their website that is ONLY for FS9-v 9.1, and the scenery is working OK.So I MUST already have the 9.1 version, however, when I check in "About FS9" I get a message saying that the installed version is 9.0.Strange... signed: José Luis
December 21, 200916 yr Could it be that you are using the version of the FS9.exe that does not require disc 4 to be in the CD/DVD drive? If so, you are using the wrong version...If your FS installation has been updated to 9.1 and you used the so called no-CD version after updating, then it is possible that you have the wrong one, and the build information is just being read out of the old file's header...If you were able to install the first no-CD file, then I am sure you will be able to find the correct one and place it in the FS9 root folder, backing up your original of course...Hope this helps...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
December 21, 200916 yr Author Andrew, Found a new non-CD "fs9.exe" file for version 9.1, made a backup of the old one and placed the new in the FS9 root folder, everything works fine, but still the info says I have v-9.0 installed. :( signed: José Luis
December 23, 200916 yr Strange... perhaps a registry fix... try running the Flight1 registry repair tool... for free from the flight1 site, on the downloads page I believe...Might help...Certainly didn't break anything when I used it to repair a few things... :(Andrew Andrew Entwistle
