December 21, 200916 yr Just made a new install of Vista Home 32-b. on the same hardware as the previous install. For the first time I am encountering an installation problem with PMDG's 737 NG 600/700.Upon first install (V1.3 16jan04) of the CD-version into fs2004 , the installation program hangs, stating that it skips the instalation of a font into the windows\font directory. Also the windows sidebar disappears. (And reapperars after I shut down the installation routine). I found someone who started this issue (on page5), but has no answers. On previous install there were never problems with the installation routine.I have no idea what has changed. How can I analyse this, and more urgent is there a solution to this problem. Thanks in advanceOkay guys , just found a possible answer on PMDG's website, stating that this is caused by inadequate privileges for the user account. I am running a full admin account with UAC disabled. I noticed that the Vista fonts-folder is marked read-only and that I am unable to change this attribute?. So this only leaves the suggestion to disable any antivirus software (Running Bitdefender 2009). I am going to give this a try and report back.Well here is an update:Well, disabling AV did not help. I installed everything in Windows safe mode and encountered no problems. So PMDG's 737&747 with GF-MCPPRo, GF-Efis Pro & GF-ICCS under FS2004 is fully operational again. Johan W

January 3, 201016 yr Are you sure you installed as an Administrator?Well, the account has administrator priviliges. If you mean whether I ran the installer by "rightclicking & run as administrator" (UAC is disabled), I really don't recall anymore -:) It's been busy the last week. (Partying,..family visits..., no flying)Just finsihed my first flight in 2010 with PMDG's 737 NG from EBBR to EGLL. No problems encountered.Happy New Year and flying!Johan Westhovens

I am running Vista 64 and the installers all ran correctly. George Morris
January 7, 201016 yr For Win 7 and Vista, need to run the installer as Administrator. Shouldn't have to go to safe mode. I am running Vista 64 and the installers all ran correctly.Oke, that's what I've probably done wrong. (Never intalled the product in windows-vista-safe mode before). Thanks, it's noted.Johan Westhovens
January 17, 201016 yr Another possible cause: I had UAC turned off on Win 7 x64, and the 737 8/900 would not install from CD. I turned UAC back on and all was well.
