FSX Viewpoint Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,In FS2004, whilst looking ahead with the 2D cockpit view, I could press SHIFT + ENTER or SHIFT + BACKSPACE to move my view out the front up or down. FSX does list these commands in the default key assignments but pressing the keys does nothing. I tried deleting and reassigning the keys again but no go. Any help as to what I am doing wrong appreciated. Sorry if its been asked but I could not find an answer. Thanks, pumrigar

Hold down CTL+Q I think..

If you are sitting on the ground when you "press SHIFT + ENTER or SHIFT + BACKSPACE" you should SEE that you are, in fact moving up and down. But the way you see more runway over the panel is to "tilt" the view. Bert provided the correct key, CTRL + Q (using shift) to go the other way. If you want to be able to pan up down in the 2D cockpit, try this link from back in Marchhttp://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=244741Loyd

Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro

Thanks alot. That did the trick.

If you are using the commands to routinely change your viewpoint so that you can properly see out and about, why not edit the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg flie? Fix it once, never have to fix it again.Hi to my old friend Bert--been a long time buddy.
