January 22, 201016 yr I just picked up an Antec 300 to replace the generic POS case that housed the gaming PC at my G/F's house, it's a good case but somewhat cramped and doesn't have any built-in cable management. The HAF 932 would be a much better choice for a high-end machine. Also, don't bother with any of Coolermaster's heatsinks, they're sub-par compared to the competition. The best cooler on the market right now is Noctua's NH-D14 dual-fan beast. $85 @ Newegg. If you're bothered by its size you could go with a Thermalright Ultra Extreme (often abbreviated TRUE), or Prolimatech Megahalems.
January 22, 201016 yr A good 750W PSU is fine for your above system, but you can get a Corsair TX850W for $20 less than a Corsair HX750W over at Tiger Direct. From what I can see the only advantage to the higher priced, lower wattage HX is cable managment. You can tuck a lot of cables away for $20 less and 100W more.I went with the Corsair TX850W on my new PC. Though I will probably never need the extra 100W it is nice to know that it is there if I ever need it.The posts are two years old or more so I do not know how true this is for today, but it was also recommended to get a PSU with a 12V single rail. This way you do not have to worry about balancing the load between multiple rails. Both of the Corairs I mentioned have 12V single rails.I have the HAF-932 and for air flow it would be hard to beat. It comes with four fans (top, front, side, rear) and with your CPU cooler fan that makes five. Plenty of room and as the HAF stands for it is really high air flow. Lot of ventelation and the fans are really quite.Rod
