Adding A Click Sound TO FMC Keys?

Featured Replies

Hello,I wondered if this was possible. Let's take a simple FMC, doesn't matter what addon. The keys don't make any sound, although they do in real life, whereof I have a sound from a real aircraft. Can I add this somehow? I own FSPanel Studio. Sim is FS2004.Thanks in advance.

You can't do that with a compiled payware FMC gauge, It's easy to do in a XML coded FMC gauge (never seen a payware one of those ).

Ok, what a pity. Does this apply to all switches? Thanks.

Why don't you create a gauge with the click sound in it and make it invisible. Then just put it over the switches you want to have sound when you click them. Regards, Bob.

Are you sure that would work? Well once you click a gauge (the sound gauge) I don't quite know if that "click" would get transferred through that very gauge to another gauge that lies underneath. I could imagine the mouse click would only get received by the top most gauge in the layering order. Not sure though. If anyone would like to try I am sure there are some, including me, who'd like to know the results. :(Kind regardsEtienne

Hi. I am afraid you are probably correct. I have used this method to add tooltips to gau type gauges that don't have tooltips. I have never tried it with a sound file with a click. Regards, Bob.

Interesting idea Bob - what a shame FS is that limited in this aspect. Thanks anyway.
