Finally took the leap into the unknown, installed my new copy of FSX Gold, installed a certain PMDG turboprop, tuned FSX as Nick_N would have it, and went for a quick blat around KSEA.FSX IS nice, isn't it? Certainly runs better on my machine than I thought it would. Now the re-learning and tweaking begins... :( Cheers, Chris DalgarnoPS - forgot to add, it'd be a whole lot better if I had a Woodpigeon to fly around in.

I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?

Did just the same thing myself a couple of days ago. I'm still one of fs9's biggest fans, but that J41 is lightyears ahead of anything i've seen in the older sim! 30fps around Aerosofts Madeira isn''t too bad d either. 10fps around Aerosofts Chicago isn't though so FS9 will be staying put for the time being. Think I'll stick to using FSX as an island hopping J41 sim until the i9's come out.Given how good the Jetstream is, the 737/777 are going to be incredible.

Congrats Chris, Hope you enjoy your new adventures. Not much in relearning I don't think, but tweaking the sliders there can be. Not that bad when you learn what each is doing. As for the woodbird,,, there are plenty in and out of KBOSww3.jpg

Is the red umbrella optional? :(

Ciao!

Hehe, I tossed that in just for a laugh but made me wonder how pilots of such open aircraft dealt with sudden weather changes like that. When on my motorcycle the lightest rains sting a fair amount and that's going well under 100mph, I can't imagine how it would be twice that.
