January 29, 201016 yr A strange thing has suddenly happened. I launched FS9, selected an aircraft which took me into the 2D cockpit view. Setting up the aircraft for a flight I attempted to adjust the altimeter to 20,000. My normal course of action would be to press the Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. February 1, 201016 yr Anyone please ??Have you no patience? This isn't an on-demand support service, any response is dependent on anybody who can help happening to drop in. As it happens, I have found I get the same results as you if I hold the Shift key down while using the mouse wheel like that. Just press the space bar to reset the view. The solution? Best I can offer is to not hold the shift key down whilst using the mouse wheel.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
February 1, 201016 yr Author Have you no patience? Well that's a bit drastic and completely unnecessary !!!!!! I always aim to be polite and cordial on these forums, where many members have become friends and have used 'thanks' and 'please' even if a solution has not been found. I do not appreciate your supercilious remarks. All I did, as my question was disappearing out of sight and off the radar, was to 'ping it' with a 'please'. As it happens, by doing that you did read it (where previously you may not have) and helped me with an answer. Tristan Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. February 1, 201016 yr Author Hi pschlute That's a good point. As I was re:installing, Wilco Airbus Vol1. I am sure I installed a utility that enabled me to see inside the cabin. I think it was related to the Wilco Airbus series. Sorry, its sounds a bit vague, but I do remember having to press F1 (which had no affect whatsoever). Problem is I cannot see the utility to un-install it. Thanks Tristan. Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. February 1, 201016 yr Author PschluteYour idea, got me digging around the Modules folder, where I found a F1_View DLL file. By eliminating this has restored the cockpit back to normal. All appears to be working perfectly. Thanks for your suggestionTristan. Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. February 2, 201016 yr Well, since you solved your (own) problem, I don't have anything to add, other than 'Wham, Bang, Sock, Punch, Kick, Push, Hair Pull'-haha. That said, and you are WELCOME, I always write down stuff about installs, etc. A diary, if you will, of all pertinent activity that I push on my system or FS9. Cheap insurance. A $1 notebook and a pen is all the 'gear' you need. I put in the date (Mon-10Feb01-5 pm) and skip a line between notes. Just a suggestion. And oh, put a steak on that shiner (hehe).CBNapamule

Perhaps I was a little abrupt. The point I was trying to make was that I (and others) consider it cheeky when people complain they haven't had an answer, and it is also considered bad form by many to "bump" a topic up to the top of the list to get a better response.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
February 2, 201016 yr Author John, there is no need to apologise, being as you are, a respected member of these forums, I and others couldn't really do without you. It was never my intention to ruffle your feathers. Best regards Tristan. Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns.
