They are for the Wilco 737PIC, Dreamwings E170 and Overland/SMS A320.(All different liveries, see below)I will be uploading all my repaints soon in a single pack!!!I was also wondering if there is anyone out there who is willing to make my repaints better, eg. adding shadows, shine and dirt.Screenshots:Airbus A320 (Hybrid livery: Solomon Airlines and Strategic Airlines) (Overland A320 model)Boeing B737-300 (Hybrid livery: Solomon Airlines and Air Class Airways) (Wilco B737-300PIC model)Boeing 737-300 (Solomon Airlines livery, no longer in use) (Wilco B737-300PIC model)E170 (Solomons Tropical Livery) (Dreamwings Embraer 170 model) (Plus another repaint for the Wilco EJets, a re-edited version of their repaint)So what do you guys think?ThanksP.S.If you are willing to help give depth to my repaint, please pm me.
February 3, 201016 yr (Plus another repaint for the Wilco EJets, a re-edited version of their repaint)So what do you guys think?I am not too sure why you re-edit one of our paints, but I am very interested to hear your answer though!
February 3, 201016 yr I am not too sure why you re-edit one of our paints, but I am very interested to hear your answer though!Oohhpss, thats a tricky one Noigraphics.
February 4, 201016 yr Noigraphics,There not bad at all. Just one thing though, you have an APU intake on the left hand side of those 737's. The APU inlet door is located on the right side only. Think I might be able to solve that for you thought. Otherwise they look pretty neat. Regards,Skyknight
February 4, 201016 yr Oohhpss, thats a tricky one Noigraphics. Here is the hybrid version of the Solomon Airlines liverr, which i re-edited.
February 4, 201016 yr Noigraphics You did not react on the posts from TerrenceK and me in this topic .(yet)Making repaints using the original paintkit is OK .On the other hand making repaints based on existing paints , like the Solomons EJet hebride is not allowed. The Solomons EJet hybrid cannot be published due to copyrights.Always respect the copyright of paints made by others and this goes for freeware as well as for payware. In this case the original Solomons livery is copyright-protected payware by McPhatstudios. , but thats not the point why I am writing this. Its simply "not done" using a paint made by another, change it a bit and upload it to AVSIM.IF the paint was made and presented as freeware , you might ask the maker for his permission to edit and publish it, clearly stating at the publishing and in the Repaint-Readme.txt it was not you who did the main work naturally. You can imagine commercial paintstudios never give such a permission.Reworking their work and publish it is a violation of copyright(see about copyrights and repaint-readme.txt in the Repant FAQ) http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=252497 Leen
February 5, 201016 yr Of course it wiould be an infringment of copyright material etc. I did not say I would be posting Wilco's re-edited repaint, but rather releasing my E170 repaint for the Dreamwings model, as stated in my first post (see quote) Hello,I have just finished repaint 4 airplanes, all of which belongs to Solomon Airlines. February 6, 201016 yr Now I know why I quit repainting. How can a phenomena like copyrights be a reason for quitting repainting?Copyrights only have to be respected.Leen
February 6, 201016 yr How can a phenomena like copyrights be a reason for quitting repainting?Copyrights only have to be respected.LeenCopyrights are not applicable to a picture on a forum showing a completely different model,or even the very same model,as pictures showing your copyrighted work are shown everywhere, and I haven't seen you folks complain there. They are only applicable to the released project, and then and only then can there be whining about apossible copyright breach.Until then, you can give a fair warning, slaying the guy ain't helping matters. The wise and kind way to deal with this was send the good man a private message and ask him abouthis plans.Maybe that's a thought for the future.JP.
February 8, 201016 yr Copyrights are not applicable to a picture on a forum showing a completely different model,or even the very same model,as pictures showing your copyrighted work are shown everywhere, and I haven't seen you folks complain there. You are absolutey right editing material and showing a screenshot is no violation of copyrightThey are only applicable to the released project, and then and only then can there be whining about apossible copyright breachJP.There you are right again , whining about a possible breach of copyrights should be done after the publishing .Giving information about copyrights in advance however, without accusing anybody ,to avoid problems due to copyrights, is something which has to be done prior to publishing. The fact the painter edited textures on a model wich his did not intend to publish and the fact he stated he was going to release another model with the same Solomons livery ( implicating possibly the same textures , complete or partially) at least gives the impression he might unintentionally become in conflict with copyrights. The only thing I did was pointing him to the fact doing so implicated a conflict with copyrights.I did not accuse him about anything , how could I , he did not publish yet. I used no unfriendly words , was not impolite.Neverteheless , in my eyes ,being confronted with this kind of conflicts so many times, it is usefull to bring up the subject. Not by mail or PB , just right on the forum for all painters to be informed about the issue " Copyrights" for textures used on other models. You may see it as a general information about copyrights , just triggered by some repaints on this topic.Nobody has been slayed anyhow, anyway.Slaying is not my habit , not in mails, nor PB`s and certainly not on fora.Best regardsLeen de Jager
