Installing multiple sceneries

Featured Replies

Hi all got a question....Just reformatted and installed a fresh version of windows 7. I'm thinking of trying something different to speed up the my FS installation time.I have already loaded FSX along with some sceneries such as ground environment and REX, all the service packs for FSX, GE and REX are loaded as well as FSUIPC...Currently, FSX is running fine...What I'll like to do is installed all my other third party sceneries such as those by, Aerosoft, Imaginesim, FLytampa etc first and then run FSX to load the sceneries. Question I have is, could this be a potential problem or is it safe to do so?Thanks in advanceTroy

Sorry, but does anyone know the answer or has even tried this? Thanks

I think the reason nobody has responded is because they don't know what you are going on about Troy.If you are saying that having installed FSX, REX, etc, do you have to install the airport sceneries one at a time then no you don't.Some third party sceneries will automatically install themselves in the scenery library and some you have to do manually. If that's not what you are asking, perhaps you could make it a bit clearer and then we can try to help.Cheers, IAN

Ok, what I want to do is install each scenery one at a time, one after the other before having to run FSX after each install. Does this make sense and can it be done without issues?

You can install most sceneries back to back without starting FSX each time. Some sceneries require that you start FSX and manually add the scenery, so if you do a bunch you might forget what your supposed to do yourself and it will never be installed properly or at all until its done.
