Which Graphics Card?

Recommended Posts

I found a video card on sale and I was wondering if it was worth it? And also, if it will work with my current setup that I am building.Any help is appreciated! The card that I found is a "EVGA 01G-P3-N988-TR GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card." Since I am on a budget, I would like to take advantage of this sale, but not at the expense of getting something less... How much is it then?I would go for the 200-series, but not the 295 since it has issues w. FSX. I have the 285 GTX and I

Your question cannot be answered without further clarification. i.e. which version of FSX are you intending upon using, what add-ons, and at what resolution with which level(s) of AA/AF?

Without a doubt you will be wasting you cash going from a 9800GT 512MB to a 9800GT 1GB. The extra 512MB of RAM is not going to do aything for FSX - or just about any other game really unless you are using copious amounts of AA nd AF.
