I live in the US and so far all of my TP flights have been in the US. Today, I decided to try overseas with terrible results. Almost every place I tried, I got constant 'Problem loading at level 14' error messages and horrible looking tiles.So I was wondering, is there anything special you need to do to use TP anywhere besides the US? Are the map services only for the US or are they for the world?

Which places and which services? I have used TP so far only in Europe and the results are very good (30cm resolution in FSX and Level 17 in TP). I have found Virtual Earth better compared to Yahoo Maps: the quality of Yahoo Maps is very variable: sometimes excellent, sometimes horrible. Virtual Earth quality is not so good compared to Yahoo Maps, but on average (different locations) is better, I am using only Virtual Earth now.Anubis

I would go along with Anubis having been using Tileproxy for over a year now.Generally use Servie 1 for Europe and Service 3 for N America.Fot the rest of the world, you just have to try them both tosee whichis best.IAN

France is really nice with virtual earth, especially coasts.
