February 25, 201016 yr OK,I have a question. My memory is foggy about this, but I thought the FSX development team used Nvidia cards when they wrote the software. Perhaps, I'm mistaken. Did they just use Nvidia cards to demo the beta version? Some folks in another forum (hardware, not related to flight sim) were asking about the best computer system for FSX. I responded that they should use an NVidia card because the FSX team used them. I might be mistaken. I personally have an ATI card for FSX.Any web links to verify your responses would be appreciated.thanks,David

February 27, 201016 yr FSX was developed using DX9. The DX10 "stuff" was added late in the game. And, yes, they used nVidea cards as that was all that was available at the time. As to nVidea vs. ATI, that's kind of like a Ford vs. Chevy question. I've used both nVidea and ATI with FSX and can't see any difference.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
