Virtual Cockpit View

Featured Replies

I have just made the shift to FSX (had to build a new computer), but in FS9 I fell in love with active camera and the ability to quickly pan around and move about the cockpit as well as do walk arounds, is there something similiar for FSX thats not TrackIR?

Well you can pan around the VC with the spacebar + mouse. Moving around isn't quite as easy but you could assign the shortcuts to a joystick HAT or something like that.

EZ DOK camera. Read the threads here regarding this upcoming add on for FSX.

i think the shift+O command permanently sets the mouse to a pan type control. i.e. pressing the key combination renders the mous unusable for selecting menus etc. but moving it will move the view point.Tom

As kiwikat said, hold Space if instead you just want to use the mouse temporarily, without toggling. That seems to work in all views, apart of course from Tower View. And in both Fly and Slew modes.BTW, in 'Tips Tricks & Tips' (my only FSX book so far), that command (the Mouse Yoke) is incorrectly given as Sh+X.--Terry, East Grinstead, UK
