Question About ASE

Featured Replies

Yes I still get a bit of cloud popping but, really, isn't it inevitable? After all, the weather is updating every so often depending on your setting and, surely, when it does the cloud depiction is almost certain to change?I haven't timed this exactly but the popping I get is at a frequency that could easily tie in with updating.Iain Smith
Finally, someone who views cloud popping as the non-issue like I do. Iain, I bet we both get well and truly stepped up for this truly heretical opinion. :( and thumbs up dude.

Two points.1) I don't use automatic updates. So it's one set of weather data I download and that's it. Surely transitioning from one area to the next does not have to be so abrupt then.2) I do not have this issue with AS 6.5 and if it is there, then it's a lot less noticeable then with ASA and now ASE.Last flight I did was from KLGA to KIAD. That's not a long flight, but I had the clouds go poof maybe 5-7 times. That's not exactly a non-issue I need to get over...:(

See, toadja Iain. With all due respect Mike, I reread my latest commentary and I don't recall saying that it was something you (all collective) need to get over. I do see that I stated clearly (I thought) that I (first person singular) viewed it as a non-issue.Sorry, I'm feeling a little testy today I guess.

Yes, you are. You completely misunderstood my post.:( <-- !!!Don't see why our opinions can't coexist. They are both valid, IMHO.

Mike...

Not to belabor a (the?) point Mike but I understood your forcefully presented point clearly. It is you who decided to construe my personal opinion of how my personal flight sim is used as a broad based attack on you and others who seem to hold your opinion. No use in trying to get the last word in brother, I'll fight it out on this line if it takes all summer.
