The best place to get help on Vatsim is there main site http://www.vatsim.net/ sign up and join there forums if not done so already. On there main page there is a tag labelled Vatsim Pilots, under that there is another one called Pilot Software, there you can choose Squawkbox or fsinn, I use fsinn myself its a bit harder to configure but has a few nifty features. But you can't really go wrong with either one. Good luck :(

I tried flying on VATSIM by installing the FSInn and FsCopilot cli

At the begin, both of community have been used the same client for radar and pilot client. Program source was SATCO then VATSIM, so IVAO has been used existing clients. After for a while, IVAO developed their own clients. We can't compare the clients becouse of, both side clients have + or - against eachother. We can not say "that is perfect".According that you wrote, you made wrong something or there were appeared unexpected somethings on your computer, for example virus programs blockage or windows matches. I installed FSINN first years ago, it was take just only 5 minutes with setting up but something didn't match on my hardware. When I used FSINN window, FS were slowing down. I changed Squawkbox, my problem has been fixed, since far I'm using SB3 nonproblem (last 5 years).Squawkbox / FSINN voice clint is not bad as you thought. Honestly nothing different than TeamSpeak. The best point of AVC which is comes "into" SB3/FSINN is you don't need any external software. So I mean, you don't need to make any adjustment like as work in TS. Blowe up of voice (as you said eating a buch off hot potatoes) or unreadable voice level or breaking voice are causing by user adjustments or cabability of their hardwares/devices. Example blowing up of the voice is causing by only speaking too close to microphone and mic record level on the top. Bad Quality devices records the voice bad also. BEsides thats, onboard sound cards sometimes doesn't work as well while you are using any other programs which are needs sound card on the background, example MP3 playes, MSN or etc. Those programs are decreasing sound recording and streaming levels.Wi-fi connections,wireless connections are also other problems for some countries where internet connections and provides has some problems.Lowquality connection signals causing "breaks" while speaking.Thats all problems can be seen in IVAO becouse of I'm flying IVAO too. If there is problem in user side, nothing change. I'm really satisfy SB3 and maybe does work FSINN too in my updated hardware settings now but I can't say "choose it becouse of...." It is really nice wishes about merge of both community, sounds like good but it is imposibble. Two different communty, two some different rules, two different structure.... But the best point is , we are all sharing the same virtual skies :)
