throttle # 2 and no matter how many times I push the reset in fsuipc Axis 2Z will not show up.Hi JimI have these components Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System plus Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant I am trying to do what you have done re throttles. I had no problem Setting up Axis X & Y to the Yoke and also Axis R to the rudder. I also had no problem setting Axis 1Z to throttle lever # 1. It's when I try to setup Axis 2Z to throttle lever # 2 and no matter how many times I push the reset in fsuipc Axis 2Z will not show up.
John,I need to understand better what you are attempting. When you say axis 1Z, are you referring to the the first of six levers, and when you say axis 2Z is this the second lever on the same TQ device? I ask because there cannot be 2 axes using the same Z designation on the same device. Here is what FSUIPC shows me on my B17 axis assignments: on the first device, FSUIPC registers on lever #1 in the boxes listed JOY # [O (zero)]- [Z], lever 2 of the same device [O] , lever three same device [O] [R], 4th lever which is the first lever on the second TQ device [3] [X], lever 2 of the device #2 [3] [Y] and lever 3 of device #2 [3] [Z]. The number before the letter simply defines which device is being registered and yours may be different. But you already know that I'm sure.So the only other suggestion I can make at this point is to delete your FS9.CFG file located in Documents and Settings/[your user name]/Application Data/Microsoft/FS9 and let FS9 rebuild a clean new one and then begin making new assignments. Also, to avoid conflicts, be sure that the 'Specific aircraft' box is checked each time you make assignments. In the beginning this step I forgot and was always running into problems.I'm assuming two things here: 1) you're using FS9 and 2) your OP is XP. If your OP is Vista or 7 I'm unable to advise as I don't use those OP's providing that your OP and sim are the same as mine.Let us know how you get along. Also, if you wish, you can PM me for additional help.Jim D.

John, received your pm and I tried to respond. However, did you set up your pm account here as an error response said that you were not listed. Also we have a request to solve your FSUIPC isuues here on the forum as some others are interested as well. I have no problem with that. How about you?Jim D.

Thanks to everyone who has tried to assist me in getting FSUIPC and the throttle quadrant working the way they should do. I am 1000% positive that I have used the instructions in the correct way and have not had any success at all. And I have been at it for almost 3 weeks. So as much as I hate to say this, I will not waste anymore of everyone's time with it............... Thanks again .........John

John,Don't give up. If you do a search for "Mudhen" in these forums, he too had diffilculty setting up his sim. He too is 70 and I'm 65, no young'uns here. I was able to get him up and running and now he's doing some scenery design I believe. So if you would like to try again, I'll give you the step-by-step process. I've done it and so have thousands of others. So let me know.Jim D.

Ok John, Did you do everything I suggested in my last post......I will try and help you alittle more here. 1. Using FSUIPC, go to AXIS Assignments push reset button, move your throttle one lever you wish to assign, the Delta values should rise and fall w/ lever movement, if they don't rescan again until they do. Insure that you check Type of Action required, to "Send to FSUIPC Calibration"2.Check the lower box and assign Throttle 1 to lever you have just scanned.3. I would close FSUIPC after each engine you assigned, this is only a precaution, this should not be necessary but I do it4. Do this for each lever you assign. Then go to JoyStick Axis (3 of 11) seperate throttle/engine1. Check box No Reverse Zone be sure to push reset button for each engine to get values to change.2. UNCHECK Exclude Throttle n setThen go to Buttons and Switches FSUIPC.... and move each throttle lever one at a time completing each of the steps listed below to the button position, this is lever at FULL DOWN POSITION. Assign each lever as follows:1. Check the box for FS Control2. Using the list, assign "Throttle 1 Decr" and check the box "Control to repeat while held" do this for each engine throttle insuring you change the engine number each time. This will give you seperate engine reverse for each throttle. If this does not work then you may have a bad unit, contact Saitek and they will replace or fix your unit if it is broke......they were excellent w/ me as I had a bad unit and I got a new one. Great Customer Service.Hope this helps, if not I hope someone else may benefit from these instructions. You can find these same instructions elsewhere. A 54 year old not always sure how to do things, either. Ha ha

Well another day gone by. Still just the Yoke and Pedals & #1 Throttle set up and working. But that's as far as I seem to be able to get. I know the Axis's are, X = Ailerons, Y = Elevator, R = Rudder and the one throttle I have set is using Z axis. Am I correct please? Boy oh Boy I would be so happy to be able to do this over the telephone at my own expense of course as long as the other person lives somewhere on the North American Continent Phew! G'night all..John
