Hi-def Black Panel for 172N

I was going through some pics from my real-world training from a few years back, and I found a few shots of the panel of the 172M that I flew. One thing led to another, and I ended up reworking the shots into a 2048 hi-def panel for the Carenado 172N. The models are pretty close, but even at that it's amazing how much reworking and repositioning I had to do to make it fit. It's true, I suppose: no 172 is like another.Anyway, if you're interested, you can download it from the aussiex download section at http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=dow...p;showfile=1123 (you might have to register, I'm not sure). I'll probably upload it here and elsewhere soon.

Aaaaaaah - great work Bill - thanks a lot! :( Short after release of the 172N, I made a couple of liveries with new colored panels and interior.Though, the panels were not Hi-defs like yours :( I also did the same with a lot of Stationairs

Those are good-looking interiors, Gunnar. It's nice to get a little color into things, isn't it? :(

:( :( Agree! To copy a real aircraft, you'll need to paint more than the exterior colors....

Bedankt. Ja, natuurlijk wil ik hetI'll be pleased to upload them. But first I will have to confirm Carenado, as (according to the EULA) these templates are not among those listed for public upload. B) B)

Hi again. One of the little niggly things that bugged me about the black 172 panel I did was that it somehow eliminated the elevator trim indicator. After a bit of head-scratching and research, I figured out that the indicator tick mark itself is mapped to a patch of the lower-right panel. You can see it in Gunnar's paints above if you look carefully enough - a tan panel gets a tan trim indicator, blue panel - blue indicator.I've isolated the portion of the panel that gets used for this, and just added a torn old white AOPA sticker to my panel in that spot. Happily, that restores the tick mark without messing up the panel. I just uploaded it to the Sim-Outhouse library here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/loca...&linkid=203 . If you've been bothered by this little detail, check it out and let me know if it works for you.

Thanks Bill! I was wondering about the flap leaver color, but I did not spend much energy in finding out how to change that color.I'll download your edit at the SOH :(
