March 15, 201016 yr Folks, somewhat of an FSX newbie here. I have two monitors and would like to know if there is any way to force FSX to use only the primary display in full screen mode. At the moment, if I wish to use the secondary display for non-FSX content while flying, I am forced to run FSX in windowed mode.Any help/pointers are much appreciated. Much thanks in advance.
March 15, 201016 yr If you configure the dual monitors in an independant mode, when you go full screen it should work on one display. This works for me and the second display can be used for 2d panels.

March 15, 201016 yr in my case I have the nvidia control panel and when I use the "set up multi display" wizard it lets me choose horizontal span, vertical span, dual mode, or independant mode.
March 15, 201016 yr Author I've got an nvidia GTX275 and I don't seem to have that option :sI have an ATI card, and I don't have that option either. The only multi-display option for the desktop is "extended desktop" ... in which case FSX commandeers both displays as soon as I go full screen.
March 15, 201016 yr I have the gtx 260. If I right click on the desk top and select nvidia control panel its there. Now with that being said it may have been an extra piece of software that I dl seperatly from nvidia.

March 16, 201016 yr Hi Bob,You are correct, if you want to keep V & H Span you will have to stay with Windows XP. These features have been removed from Windows Vista and Windows 7. It's probably nView, which is installed along with the drivers...in Windows XPAs I understand it, nView no longer works (nor does horizontal span mode) in the nVidia Vista/W7 drivers.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
