So im flying along nicely enjoying the ride, then i decide to enter a menu.Coming out of the menu suddenly my graphics are messed up, so i promptly save the flight as i intend to exit FSX and restart. On clicking enter and coming out of the save box my screen remains black. I can hear the flight but cant do anything, FSX then crashes.Looking at the event viewer it seems API.dll is causing this problem.I found this post in another forum, but its a bit cryptic http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showtopic=29579This has happened twice now. Thanks for those, but i have got the UIautomation dll already in my FSX directory and so i dont believe this to be a problem.Ill continue to monitor the situation, but the fact it has occurred more than once is worrying, considering i had a stable install.Tom

Well I completed a 400mile flight last night in my cessna and didn't have any problems but I did make a point of not using menus or leaving the aircraft cockpit view.So this proves that things can be stable.I have taken the enb bloom off and a couple of other unused addons so this may have helped. Need to monitor the situation a bit more.Tom

Hi Tom,I just started getting this API.DLL CTD problem on Vista 64. I have no idea why so I also need to monitor the situation. Been flying FSX for years without the problem. So, something has changed. I just installed PNW but the problem occurs outside that area. So, I doubt if that's the problem. I also recently installed EZDOK. Don't know if that has anything to do with the problem. Just wanted you to know you are not alone.

I had my first CTD yesterday, also after installing EZdok the day before. The crash occurred right after a camera change, so I'm not sure. The crash was the only one I've gotten so far, and flew several more flights yesterday without problems, including aggressive view changes. Hopefully it was isolated. So far though, it sounds like those of us with once stable builds getting our first CTD's all have ezdok in common.Like you guys, I'll continue to monitor and report back if it happens again.Btw, there was a new Ezdok update yesterday, in case you guys didn't hear about it:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=33845

I don't currently have ezdok but the fact we only recently got the error suggests it may be an update, maybe from windows?? I did notice that the api.dll file is within the fsx folder so I don't know how a windows update would affect it but it's a thought.Tom
