Problem with Overland/SMS...

Featured Replies

Well, i've try to tweak aircraft.cfg with no luck. I even copy/paste some things from PMDG 747, autopilot, flaps...a matter of fact plane now respond much better, but......when i'm on approach, ok standard procedure, capture LOC and GS, plane start to line up and descent, than, instead of touch down, he just touch the runway and go up in the air again. Like touch'n go. I've try those FDE files for overland, from library, but still same thing. Can i add some more drag to the spoilers or flaps, and if so what should i have to change? He just wan't to put nose down. With AP disengage, when i take control, everything is OK. But sometimes, when its fog, it just want' land with autopilot.P.S. I've also try to change CG, but still the same... Please help...thanksregards,Dalibor

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

I would strongly advise you against using FDE data from a 747 for an A380, for obvious reasons...There's one good set you can use: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=119162.But even with that, you have to wonder if this aircraft and its panel were designed to autoland.:(

But even with that, you have to wonder if this aircraft and its panel were designed to autoland.:(
Exactly - autoland is mainly a panel/gauge feature.

I don't use default gauge...i use ISG retrofit. And in pdf document is written that autoland feature is supported. I guess i have to forget CAT III with this bird... :(

MarkRey: Bigup and Blessings from the north.Dally: I just took her and established full ILS for rwy 22L just now at KJFK-(IVAO).No Problem. Well one small thing. There was a slight delay on the glideslope on initial. She adjust to it once the powerplants revved down. Kept her at a speed of 170-175knts.No issues on final. Ofcourse you know about the update for their models which fixes a lot of things.a)Wingviewsb)Nose gear turns in exterior viewBut not all. Go Here FL%^TSIM. (No need to spell it out) and serch for this file. ov380fix.zipThat should fix any lagging problems. Thanks again for helping me with my own problem in the past on the same equipment.Cheers!!

Overland/SMS aircraft are great planes but do not have autoland features. I have never used a "retrofit" gauge as I do not believe they actually work, and your post would indicate that I'm correct.

With or without them, same thing. Dunno what happening, got all updates offical/unofficial, but bird just don't want' to put nose down on final. He just want' to go in its natural environment again...It's not a big problem i usually disarm AP on some 300 or 500 feet, but i taught maybe someone have the same problem and know how to fix it.

Ahhhh okay fellas. I see the concept. Yeah I never performed that and I don't think like what Chuck stated it is capable. Happy NON CAT III landing anyways. -)

But not all. Go Here FL%^TSIM. (No need to spell it out) and serch for this file. ov380fix.zip
That's actually the same thing I linked to earlier. FlightSim.Com, what's the big deal...:(

I haven't got ISG installed at the moment, so I can't check the documentation, but a simple search on the ISG support forum finds several references to autoland not being supported. Such as this thread. So, you're out of luck.:(
