March 24, 201016 yr Hello guys, I have some problems with the pitch angle of my Wilco Airbus A320 and A319. I've talked to my friend who is flying those jets in real and he told me that the pitch angle should be between 2.5 and 3.5 degrees. Wilco flies with 5 degrees and more - like a duck...The question is if somebody knows how to correct the pitch angle in the .cfg and .air filesBut I need answers from people who really know how to deal with those files...I tried thousands of suggestions on other sites with no success...Tried also different load settings (tail heavy and nose heavy).I just want to make this bird to fly as real as it can and I'm sure there is a way to do it...Thank you in advance.

March 24, 201016 yr I'll send you the mods I made when I get home. It's a simple edit in the aircraft.cfg file. Do you have Vol1 and Vol2? The angle at which the A330 sits on the ground needs adjusting as well (this along with it's cruise angle). OK, I'm waiting for you mods...and I don't want to contact Wilco cause they are so impolite to the pilots...They always say that we don't fly the aircrafts how they should be flown...
March 25, 201016 yr Its more than that when you start slowing down to go to Flaps 1, I'd guess 8-9 degs. Be careful of edits to fix this, there will be a trade off somewhere. May not be too bad, but it will impact some other part of the flight envelope. KJ
March 25, 201016 yr Its more than that when you start slowing down to go to Flaps 1, I'd guess 8-9 degs. Be careful of edits to fix this, there will be a trade off somewhere. May not be too bad, but it will impact some other part of the flight envelope. KJI accounted for this as to me the flaps didn't have enough drag. It's a few little things I've done so it's best to just give you guys my whole 'aircraft.cfg' file and go with that. If you look though things you'll see what's different and can be changed in the A319/321 models. Things like 'eyepoint' I believe I adjusted. I updated the sound set with free ones here so I'd suggest people try that. In section '1101' I adjusted the speed brake strength to give a little more drag when the brakes are up (Spoiler drag for me is set to 387. I know it's kind of high but it works for me). Go on Wikipedia and look up the engines for these models. Adjust the thrust rating to reflect the highest thrust engine model for these aircraft. Airbus went through a few engine types for these models (CFM engines if I remember have a few versions with different thrust ratings for the A320 series). Here's my aircraft.cfg setup for the A320CFM, only the sections I modified (if I remember correctly):[Views]eyepoint=41.9, -1.7487, 4.359 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.0 =3, -15.80, -54.90, 3.34, fx_shockwave_navred , light.1 =3, -15.80, 54.90, 3.34, fx_shockwave_navgre , light.2 =2, -71.00, -0.0, 4.90, fx_shockwave_strobe_2 , light.3 =2, -16.54, -54.90, 3.34, fx_shockwave_strobe_2 , light.4 =2, -16.54, 54.90, 3.34, fx_shockwave_strobe_3 , light.5 =1, 3.00, -0.15, 8.50, fx_shockwave_beacon ,//light.6 =3, -20.85, -47.23, 4.18, fx_navwhi , //light.7 =3, -20.85, 47.01, 4.18, fx_navwhi , light.8 =1, 2.50, -0.15, -5.00, fx_shockwave_beacon , [flight_tuning]cruise_lift_scalar =1.500parasite_drag_scalar =1.000induced_drag_scalar =1.7elevator_effectiveness =1.2aileron_effectiveness =1.2rudder_effectiveness =1.0pitch_stability =1.000roll_stability =1.000yaw_stability =1.000elevator_trim_effectiveness =0.6aileron_trim_effectiveness =1.000rudder_trim_effectiveness =1.000[TurbineEngineData]fuel_flow_gain=0.001inlet_area=30rated_N2_rpm=29920.000000static_thrust=27000.000000afterburner_available=0reverser_available=1[Flaps.1]type=2span-outboard=0.800extending-time=20.000system_type=1damaging-speed=232.000blowout-speed=250.000lift_scalar=0.1drag_scalar=2.0pitch_scalar=0.0flaps-position.0=0flaps-position.1=18.0flaps-position.2=18.0flaps-position.3=22.0flaps-position.4=22.0flaps-position.5=27.0I assume you're talking about pitch angle at cruise?Have you contacted Wilco regarding this? This entry at the end of the 'contact points' section should take care of this:static_pitch=-0.300000static_cg_height=11.3gear_system_type=0Last but not least there's some great alternate nighttime VC texturing located here in the File Download section that looks great on the Vol1 models.
