A little more complicated than that ;) 'shaders' are implemented via shader files, in SM4.0 those you can find in the Main FSX folder under ShadersHSLS (the ones that end in 10 or 4) are DX10 related, but it wont help you much. DX10 implementation on any program works at the API level, FSX sends 'rendering commands' to the API, (be it DX9 or DX10) and the Video card 'represents' on screen what FSX 'meant'

If memory serves I believe that Preview 10 is coded into SP2. Nothing more than hog-wash to keep peeps interested in FSX in my opinion.
