April 5, 201016 yr Hi guys I have read with interest some of posts, yes the VRS Suberbug is a military Aircraft but there is so much to this Aircraft the detail isa true work of art. Also there is so much more to this Aircraft the carrier landings are a lot of fun and are not easy to do. Also the Midair Refuellingis a real challlange. If you think you are any good try your hand at this. Its very easy to fly any FMC Aircraft anyware you want to go in THE FS World. And my theory on why sales were not huge for the FS9 Version was that it is a very steep learning curve. This is not an Aircraft that you will load up in flight sim and fly with success straight away its lot more complex than any PMDG Aircraft. And I own the 737/747/F and the MD11.So it will be interesting to see how the sales of the FSX Version go. And best of all for me is it wont be a steep learning curve. Cheers Greg :(
April 9, 201016 yr Commercial Member I wrote a (rather long, if I may say myself) review about the Superbug here at Avsim. I think that those that have no idea what this product is or does, should go read it. I think it contains most, if not all, of the info you have to know.http://www.avsim.com/pages/0609/VRS/F18.htmIn short: this airplane is of PMDG standard, truly. The FSX version will probably be even better because the graphics of FSX are better, although I suspect not much, if anything at all, will have changed on the side of the gauges. Flying the superbug is every bit as enjoyable as the PMDG 747, however. The fact that one is a commercial airliner and the other is a military fighter doesn't mean that there is a difference in that, not necessarily: it of course depends on what aircraft type you like to fly. I myself have found this plane to be an absolute blast to fly.but let me say one thing again: this plane is every bit as good as PMDG's most advanced offerings. The Superbug is possibly one of the best planes I know off, and I have seen my share of good planes. The only difference is that it's a military fighter.Just want to say we at PMDG fully agree with this assessment. VRS's work is astoundingly good and everyone here was blown away by it when we saw it. The fly-by-wire modelling is absolutely the best ever done for any version of MSFS for any airplane. If these guys ever got into airliners we'd have trouble on our hands. :( Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
