Comparable product to Aerosoft's FDC Live Cockpit?

Featured Replies

I'm having a terrible time with Aerosoft's FDC Live Cockpit coupled with the PMDG 744F. Does anyone know of a comparable add-on for co-pilot call outs and passenger announcements?

What type of problems are you having? I've never had a single problem with that configuration. and even if you do, you can set everything to happen manually -- Have you posted at the support forum? This is what I wrote to Oncourse:'Has anyone had the following -Error 6 "FDC aborted-"overflow in checkactualsettings routine " ? I,m afraid this is happening everytime i try to use FDC with PDMG 744, any help would be gratefully appreciated.'When FDC calls for 'Strobe Lights' at the ramp FDC crashes (I believe anything that calls for user input crashed FDC when used in conjunction with PMDG's 744F). I'm currently testing all options as this has stumped the developers as well...I'm sure this may be something specific to me and unless I can find an answer for this I'm going to have to go with other options...

Well turning on the 'Strobe Lights' prior to FDC Live Cockpit calling for them does nothing to stop FDC from crashing... I guess I'm on to another option.

Are you using a specific profile created FOR the PMDG 747 in FDC? Try your flight without any profile, manually selecting flaps retract speeds, etc., and see if the same thing happens at the same time. What other addons are you running? One monitor or multiple? Are you overclocking your CPU or memory? The only time I ever got runtime 6 errors was after several hours on a long haul, because my system was overstressed. (I run FDC over the network on an old P-4 machine with 2 gigs of ram, along side Active Sky 6.5 and Pro Flight Emulator.

Both the profile created for the PMDG 744 and the default one have no effect in stopping this issue. I will try your suggestion of selecting no profile and see what happens. The only add-ons I'm running with FS9/FDC is ASE and AI Smooth. No multi-monitor setup, no overclocking of the CPU as FS9 doesn't need that at this point, and nothing else that should overstress my system (especially at the beginning of a flight).

Does this happen at every single airport you try to fly out of, or just a few particular ones? And does it happen with a default A/C?
