March 31, 201016 yr Jim,Sorry if a thread already exists, but I didn't see one. I'm using ASE, and it appears the temperature shift aloft issues still exist. This time I'm using Concorde...all was going well until we went from ~ -50 to +15 in the blink of an eye. I tried to catch all the detail I could. Hopefully this helps. Thanks! Jeff Hepburn
April 1, 201016 yr Hi Jeff,Yes, we are aware and are working on a fix! You would have needed to go back a few pages.
April 1, 201016 yr Jim,I tried to catch all the detail I could. Hopefully this helps. Thanks!Interesting... I also experienced the problem short ago, over Providence, PVD... If I recall correctly, I have a screenshot of the METAR!! what is te meaning of RA in the METAR? When I experienced the problem +RA was present!
April 1, 201016 yr If I'm not mistaken, RA=rain, -RA=light rain, and +RA=heavy rain. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
April 8, 201016 yr If I'm not mistaken, RA=rain, -RA=light rain, and +RA=heavy rain.I've noticed something funny.. EVERYTIME I experience the problem with temps, the station is reporting RAIN... I took the time to copy the full line from the snapshot, so Damian can take a look at it. (this is old, like a week ago) but I had it copy pasted to send it here (sorry, I've been busy with other stuff) is was on a trasatlantic, EGLL-KJFK on VATSIM just over providence. April 11, 201016 yr Author Hi Jeff,Yes, we are aware and are working on a fix! You would have needed to go back a few pages.Jim,I feel like I have to have something set incorrectly. in FSX, both ASA and ASE are causing me fits with this temp issue! I'm trying to fly a pretty low and slow route in the JS41, but I'm seeing TAT of 30 and SAT of like 23 at 12,000ft....it makes this plane almost completely unflyable, and I'm seeing it every time I fly!Is there a chance that I have something setup incorrectly??I have gone back to using AS6, but that causes very very bad framerates and wind shifts while writing data to FSX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jeff Hepburn
April 12, 201016 yr Author Hi,Turn off Fog Layer Generation in ASE. We are working on this issue. Thanks Jim, that's a little bit better. At 19k feet, I'm going back and forth between -15 and 15deg TAT. Jeff Hepburn
