April 9, 201016 yr Recently I've been flying FSX heavily. Since then, my wallet has been burning a hole in my pocket for the A2A B-17 with Accusim. :( I'm willing to give up lunch after class for it--just don't tell my girlfriend... I mean these guys make the most enthralling WWII/big props/fighters around!Before I drop $60+ on that purchase, I'd like to have some "period" airfields in Europe. WWII bases and the like in Britain would be right up my alley. Anyone know of some good ones (FSX, of course)? I'm wanting to simulate those heroic day time raids over France.I remember the "modification" for FS9 from "The Old Hanger". April 10, 201016 yr Ian Pearsons freeware WW2 Airfields are excellent - see his site:http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/nodeTeam SDB offer Goxhill, Pocklington and some others (including US bases) available as PaywareSome of the above have period AI traffic.The FCS Hurricane and Wellington both come with WW2 airfields (I think also developed by SDB)The RealAir Spit comes with RAF Kenley complete with AI Spitfires. I think I also read that Wings Of Power includes a period airfield.
