April 11, 201016 yr Okay after doing a reinstall of FSX and ACC in WIN 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I noticed that I don't have FSX in the ADD/REMOVE Contrl Panel just ACC but it's working fine. But I also noticed that under WIN XP SP3 install on a seperate HD, I can see FSX & ACC in the ADD/CONTROL PANEL?Don
April 11, 201016 yr Same thing in Win 7 HP 64bit, so I formatted the (dedicated) harddrive for a fresh install. "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
April 11, 201016 yr Author Did that help? I have FSX on a dedicated HD as well and when I did the reinstall I didn't reformat mine. Oh yeah, this might be a silly question, but did you add SP1? I didn't I think that might be my problem not sure thou? Let me know.Don
April 11, 201016 yr Moderator For FSX there's a method to the seeming madness, as they've quite deliberately coded it such that only the "highest level" of the service packs applied will show up in the Add/Remove Control Panel display......the chief reason being to ensure that the user can only "uninstall" in the reverse order of installation! April 11, 201016 yr Author Oh I didn't know that! Now my next question is, do I need to install SP1 with FSX Deluxe? And yes I will be using Acc.Don
